YScanner is a powerful, innovative, intuitive AI mobile application and software for building quality management based on 3D scanning.
YScanner uses 3D scanning to measure objects under construction, digitizes design and technical documentation, translates them into augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) format for visual control and quality management of construction.
The AI algorithm allows users to get accurate measurements without using special equipment.
● We have been working in this field for more than 5 years and provide 3D scanning services to various customers at different stages of construction - from design to acceptance of finished objects.
● Based on our experience, we came up with the idea of creating an affordable solution for building quality management based on 3D scanning.
● Especially interesting to us was the synergy of the latest AI, AR/VR and 3D scanning technologies integrated into a regular smartphone.
Market problems
Construction is a complex, multi–level and costly process that requires high efficiency and compliance with deadlines at each stage. Mistakes, marriage, non-compliance with the project at different stages of construction lead to deadlines, the need for alterations and the rise in price of finished objects.
According to experts, 6-15% of the construction cost is wasted due to the completion of defects found at late stages of construction.
All the solutions available today require the use of additional equipment: mobile cameras embedded in various objects, sensors, QR codes or the use of LIDAR technology.
The modern method of quality control of construction at an early stage uses 3D scanning, compilation of digital models and their comparison with projects.
However, this method has significant drawbacks:
● a special device is required - a 3D scanner and special software
● high cost of such devices (on average from 20 to 50 thousand euros)
● only a highly qualified employee can work with such a device, take measurements and create models

YScanner consists of a cloud storage with digitized project documentation,

Our innovations are computer vision and deep machine learning methods that allow construction companies to detect deviations from the project with an accuracy of 1 mm and 1 degree
The mobile application
scans various sections of the object under construction, the application compares this section with the project documentation, visualizes the result using AR/VR and shows areas that differ from the project. issues a report on the degree of readiness of the object and criticality of deviations
The cloud platform
uses predictive algorithms based on statistical modeling, using the design, historical and current data of this object, as well as an array of big data on other objects, make up a predictive model of the future completed object, taking into account the defects identified at this stage of construction
Ready-made measurement sets, digital models and reports on the quality of construction stages are available in the user's cloud storage linked to the smartphone account
